A walking, talking story factory with one foot in the world of screenwriting and the other in fiction, Toby LaPlant combines their M.F.A in creative writing and Ph.D. in philosophy to cook up stories that pit intelligent and sensitive characters against their own natures and desires.

In multiple roles as an editor Toby has worked with fiction writers and comic creators to see their work through to publication, and as a participant in writing workshops around the country they’ve helped their peers hone their craft and develop their stories and ideas. When Toby isn’t tapping on a keyboard at their local coffee shop, you can find them hunting for cool rocks on the shores of the Great Lakes or mixing up a retro cocktail to enjoy beside a bonfire.
